Observation of quantum anomalous Hall effect in twisted MoTe2

In this work, we conduct transport measurements on a 3.9◦ twisted MoTe2 sample and supplement the existing observations on the anomalous quantum Hall effect from the perspectives of quantized Hall resistance, Chern number of the system and the energy gap of the anomalous quantum Hall state. Surprisingly, an excellent integer anomalous quantum Hall state is observed at ν = −1, on the contrary, an exotic fractional anomalous quantum Hall state exists at ν = −2/3. The experiment results of this work will contribute to a deeper understanding of the fractional anomalous quantum Hall system.
