"0,1,…,N: Exploring superconductor-semiconductor hybrids by adding Josephson junctions"
We are employing circuit quantum electrodynamics, the architecture of superconducting quantum computing, to explore the physics and technology of superconductor-semiconductor hybrid systems.
Our experimental program is to study the behavior of small circuits and successively add Josephson junctions.
I will present our studies of induced superconductivity with zero junctions, our demonstration of the first semiconductor-based quantum limited amplifier with one junction, and prospects for stabilizing unusual phases with arrays of junctions.
